Overview

Our Corrector line of creams are used to aid in the lightening process of the skin. These products can be used just about anywhere on the body, including bleaching of the armpits, face, and bikini line areas. Suitable for both spot treatment and general lightening, the corrector cream is the “go to” for any skin bleaching needs.

Possible Benefits of Prescription Hydroquinone:

  • Bleach hyperpigmented skin conditions such as Melasma, Freckles, Age/liver spots

  • Aid in reducing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Clinical Recommendation

  1. Used once daily or every other day at night.

  2. Avoid using with benzoyl peroxide or hydrogen peroxide as these can react with the hydroquinone and cause dark staining of the skin.

  3. Avoid using retinoids, AHAs, exfoliants while using this product.

  4. Use sunscreen daily (SPF 30 or greater) and avoid direct sunlight as hydroquinone increases sun sensitivity. Strict sun protection is essential for effectiveness and prevention of rebound pigmentation.

  5. Apply a thin layer only to the affected areas, not the whole face, once daily at night.

  6. Treatment duration is typically 8-12 weeks. Long-term continuous use of high dose hydroquinone is generally avoided due to risk of ochronosis.

  7. Decrease use to every other night if slight irritation occurs. If more significant irritation, redness or worsening pigmentation occurs stop using

Steps in the Skincare Routine

  1. Cleanse and blot face dry using a mild, non-irritating cleanser (avoid products that contain benzoyl peroxide or hydrogen peroxide.

  2. Apply a thin layer of prescription Corrector only to the affected areas and let it fully absorb for 10 - 15 minutes.

  3. Follow with usual moisturizer and skincare routine
